Bio

A songwriter from Northeast Pennsylvania. He’s been called “One of the most gifted songwriters to emerge at the turn of the century” by the esteemed All Music Guide. He’s written hundreds of songs for his own records, for other artists, for movie soundtracks (critically acclaimed national documentaries Facing Sudan and Crayons and Paper), and for theatrical productions. He was the founder of the now-defunct songaweek.com, where he contributed one brand new song (for free)  every week for over 5 years.

In 2012 he released 2 new records, one with his band the Shillelaghs called Teen Angst and the Green Flannel and a solo acoustic record called Love and Streets. He recently completed a brand new full length play called “Maybe it’s True“. His play “The Last Thoughts of Gino Merli” has been performed over 80 times and seen by over 30,000 people. It was also made into a PBS documentary.
